WEST DALA AND IRONMAN

Our colleague Gaukhar Beketayeva successfully finished the prestigious Ironman triathlon competition! She took part in the BI Group Ironman 70.3 Astana race, which was held in parallel with BI Group Ironman Kazakhstan in Nur-Sultan.

Gaukhar was part of the relay team, completing the 21.1 km run program. «This is my first Ironman race. I gave 100%, running my distance in 2 hours and 6 minutes,» said Gaukhar. The competition has been postponed due to the pandemic since 2019 and finally on August 14 this year, Gaukhar proved herself in such a massive event where 1,700 triathletes from 56 countries came together.

«I am pleased that I was able to participate in the race wearing the West Dala logo and hoisted our flag at this event,» shared Gaukhar. As a reminder, our colleague was the best in the category «Women under 35», having run the 5 km distance in 25 minutes in the traditional race organised by «ISKER» Consortium» LLP.

She plans to continue training and qualify for the Ironman title at the next event by completing all three stages of the race.

We congratulate Gaukhar on another victory and wish her sport dream come true for sure!
