NCOC and West Dala LLP familiarized representatives of Makat district community and state bodies with the waste management complex.

Another visit to the waste management facilities of specialized organization "West Dala" LLP was organized for representatives of Makat district community and state bodies in order to familiarize them with the methods and technologies applied in the industrial waste management.

The waste management facility (WMF) is located at the distance of eight kilometres along Atyrau – Uralsk highway in Makhambet district. It has modern equipment installed for waste and wastewater management.

The visitors were demonstrated the whole chain of waste management from the reception of waste to environmentally safe high-temperature decontamination and processing of liquid and solid industrials waste, food and other waste. At the plastic and cardboard waste compaction area the participants have observed the process of PET bottles compaction.

At the end of the visit, West Dala representatives answered additional questions about the WMF operations.

A lecture on “Waste Management and Spill Response” was held at Kh. Dosmukhamedov University. Environmental specialists from West Dala — Ainagul Sagiyeva and Islam Sagynbayev — conducted an engaging session with students, highlighting the key principles of environmentally responsible waste management. The focus was on modern approaches to safe disposal, reducing environmental impact, and the role of business in building a sustainable environment.

The “Innovative Ideas” competition was held in the Atyrau Region to support talented youth and develop their scientific research and inventive potential. Specialists from West Dala — environmental engineer Aigul Sagiyeva and chief technologist Minara Massalimova — were invited to serve as members of the jury.

Employees of West Dala joined the environmental campaign organized by the Department of Ecology of the Mangystau Region to clean the territory of Aktau city. They also supported the initiative of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management of the Atyrau Region by participating in the clean-up and improvement of Victory Park in Atyrau city.

From 20:30 to 21:30, the Earth Hour International Environmental Action took place to draw attention to the need for a responsible attitude to nature and the resources of the planet. This year, Earth Hour in Kazakhstan is dedicated to the theme of nature conservation in the country.

The warmth of this month helped strengthen social ties and energize them for new beginnings after the winter.
