SDG Ambition

On March 28, 2024, West Dala completed the participation in the SDG Ambition program, an educational course developed by UN experts to integrate the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into the strategic and operational activities of the companies. This program was the first launched in Central Asia Countries and aroused the great interest – more than 100 representatives of 40 companies from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan took a part in the Accelerator. As a result, 62 representatives from 31 companies were able to successfully complete the training – all of them were awarded with UN Global Compact Certificates at the event, which they received from the hands of the UN Permanent Coordinator in Kazakhstan, Ms. Mikaela Friberg-Storey, as well as the country coordinator of the UN Global Compact in Kazakhstan, Ms. Dinara Seijaparova. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are globally accepted goals aimed at combating inequality, as well as protecting the planet and ensuring peace and prosperity for the entire population. Participation in the Accelerator is designed to facilitate ESG transformation and help integrate the SDGs into West Dala's operations, which will improve financial performance and increase investment attractiveness.

West Dala has become a new member of the Italian–Kazakh Trade Association (ACIK).

Based on the results of the most recent CHESM assessment (Contractor Health, Environment, Safety, and Management System), conducted by its Strategic Partner Tengizchevroil LLP, West Dala has successfully confirmed its high-performance level and achieved the highest rating — Grade A (96%).

For the third consecutive year, West Dala has been conducting the assessment of greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with the international standard (GHG Protocol) and the requirements of the environmental legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan regarding the regulation of greenhouse gas emissions.

On the eve of the New Year, West Dala congratulated 570 children in the Atyrau and Mangystau regions. Children from the Foundation for the Support of Children with Disabilities, the Berkan Brain Center, the Yuri Gagarin School, as well as children from the Almaly rural district, Tupkaragan, Makat, Makhambet, and Kyzylkogha districts, received New Year's gifts and a festive atmosphere.
