For the first time, West Dala took part in the 20th anniversary meeting of the labor and environmental protection services directors of the KazMunayGas group of the Companies. The meeting was held on April 29-30 in Aktau. The event was attended by more than 140 employees responsible for compliance with environmental standards and ensuring the safety of KazMunaiGas employees and its subsidiaries. The meeting is held annually to assess the current state of safety and labor protection, their further improvement, discuss common problems and develop proposals for their solution.

At the plenary session which are devoted to the waste management, West Dala had the opportunity to present its technological capabilities to the KazMunayGas group of the Companies . And also near the exhibition stand to answer various questions and to distribute information materials about the company to the visitors.

A lecture on “Waste Management and Spill Response” was held at Kh. Dosmukhamedov University. Environmental specialists from West Dala — Ainagul Sagiyeva and Islam Sagynbayev — conducted an engaging session with students, highlighting the key principles of environmentally responsible waste management. The focus was on modern approaches to safe disposal, reducing environmental impact, and the role of business in building a sustainable environment.

The “Innovative Ideas” competition was held in the Atyrau Region to support talented youth and develop their scientific research and inventive potential. Specialists from West Dala — environmental engineer Aigul Sagiyeva and chief technologist Minara Massalimova — were invited to serve as members of the jury.

Employees of West Dala joined the environmental campaign organized by the Department of Ecology of the Mangystau Region to clean the territory of Aktau city. They also supported the initiative of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management of the Atyrau Region by participating in the clean-up and improvement of Victory Park in Atyrau city.

From 20:30 to 21:30, the Earth Hour International Environmental Action took place to draw attention to the need for a responsible attitude to nature and the resources of the planet. This year, Earth Hour in Kazakhstan is dedicated to the theme of nature conservation in the country.

The warmth of this month helped strengthen social ties and energize them for new beginnings after the winter.
