КӨРІСУ КҮНІ

Today, on March 14, Koris kuni is celebrated in Kazakhstan, this day is also called Amal Meiramy. A mandatory tradition of celebration is the korisu – handshake, when the younger greet the older generation with a request for blessings and longevity.

The holiday has a deep meaning: in ancient times, on this day, after the cold winter nomads, Kazakhs visited relatives in neighboring villages to make sure that everyone survived the winter safely, find out how things were and exchange steppe news. On this day, former grievances are forgiven and enmity is forgotten.

We congratulate everyone on the arrival of spring! We wish you well and happiness in the new year! Let an abundant dastarkhan be laid in every house, for which all relatives and friends gather!

West Dala volunteers took part in an environmental campaign organized by the public foundation “Atameken Eco” in the “Otbasy” park.

On January 31, 2025, West Dala successfully completed its work on the FGP Project at Tengiz. Our Partner, TengizchevroilLLP, organized a formal gathering to mark the project’s completion and honored outstanding contractors. Among the top performers was the West Dala Team at Tengiz, which was awarded a silver medal. In the Certificate of Appreciation signed by Richard Morgan, FGP/WPMP Talent Manager, it was noted that this award was given for significant impact and impeccable service.

This year, West Dala facilities once again participated in the international environmental initiative, «Earth Hour.» To support the event, external and internal lighting at WMF, Integrated landfill, Tengiz, Uzen, and Koshanai was turned off for one hour, from 20:30 to 21:30, as a reminder of the importance of environmental conservation and responsible resource use.

Nauryz is our favorite holiday, as it brings true spring with its first warmth, along with renewal and hope
