HSE AWARDING

The safe work is a top priority in the activities of West Dala Company. One of the important and significant achievement is the 350 days worked without loss of any days for today. As a part of the Occupational Safety and Health Recognition Program and the celebration of this achievement, the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Department with West Dala's Operations Managers, in January are awarding the employees who have distinguished themselves in the field of safety and health in 2023. "We provide a safe and favorable working conditions for employees and work to improve the safety culture in the company. We thank everyone for their involvement in this process," said Bagdat Duisebayev, Head of HSE Department. Awarding have already taken place at the Integrated landfill, WMF, Koshanai WMF, Uzen WMF, Bautino project, Aktau office, and also covered some of the workers at West Eskene Project. At the facilities, 77 best employees who distinguished themselves in the field of health and safety were awarded with certificates of honor and with special recognition gifts in the form of fleece jackets.

A lecture on “Waste Management and Spill Response” was held at Kh. Dosmukhamedov University. Environmental specialists from West Dala — Ainagul Sagiyeva and Islam Sagynbayev — conducted an engaging session with students, highlighting the key principles of environmentally responsible waste management. The focus was on modern approaches to safe disposal, reducing environmental impact, and the role of business in building a sustainable environment.

The “Innovative Ideas” competition was held in the Atyrau Region to support talented youth and develop their scientific research and inventive potential. Specialists from West Dala — environmental engineer Aigul Sagiyeva and chief technologist Minara Massalimova — were invited to serve as members of the jury.

Employees of West Dala joined the environmental campaign organized by the Department of Ecology of the Mangystau Region to clean the territory of Aktau city. They also supported the initiative of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management of the Atyrau Region by participating in the clean-up and improvement of Victory Park in Atyrau city.

From 20:30 to 21:30, the Earth Hour International Environmental Action took place to draw attention to the need for a responsible attitude to nature and the resources of the planet. This year, Earth Hour in Kazakhstan is dedicated to the theme of nature conservation in the country.

The warmth of this month helped strengthen social ties and energize them for new beginnings after the winter.
