The VI Eurasian Business Forum «Green Energy & Waste Recycling Forum - 2022» was held on 4-5 July in Nur-Sultan. West Dala became a partner in this event. The main objective of the forum is to find the solutions for stimulation the recycling and green energy industry on the national and regional level. The event attracted more than 200 professionals with extensive industry experience from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, UK, Latvia, Germany and USA.

The forum was opened by Zulfiya Suleimenova, Vice-Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan and Johannes Stenbeck Madsen, Head of EU Cooperation in Kazakhstan. «Work is now underway to revise the Concept for Transition to a Green Economy. In October 2021, the national project «Zhasyl Kazakhstan» for 2021-2025 years was approved, the aim of which is to create a favorable living environment for the population and improve the environmental situation, including efficient waste management. As part of the task of waste management a number of measures to improve the current waste situation is envisaged. For example, to increase the coverage of separate waste collection by fractions and certain hazardous types of waste», - said the Vice Minister.

The forum discussed the prospects for cooperation among Central Asian countries in the development of green energy, as well as the current issues in the waste management market, including the introduction of NAT, innovative technological solutions in the waste collection and recycling sector, and the development and implementation of GPP projects in waste management.

For the third consecutive year, West Dala has been conducting the assessment of greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with the international standard (GHG Protocol) and the requirements of the environmental legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan regarding the regulation of greenhouse gas emissions.

On the eve of the New Year, West Dala congratulated 570 children in the Atyrau and Mangystau regions. Children from the Foundation for the Support of Children with Disabilities, the Berkan Brain Center, the Yuri Gagarin School, as well as children from the Almaly rural district, Tupkaragan, Makat, Makhambet, and Kyzylkogha districts, received New Year's gifts and a festive atmosphere.

West Dala joined the United Nations Global Compact — the world’s largest international initiative for sustainable development and corporate social responsibility — in 2023.

This year, West Dala held a series of events dedicated to its 20th anniversary. However, no anniversary is complete without a proper celebration, so on December 5, at our business evening, we celebrated the company’s milestone together with colleagues, partners, and clients who have shared this journey with us. Around 100 guests gathered at the N. U. Balgimbayev Communication Development Center to reflect on how it all began and to honor our achievements.
