West Dalа representatives took part in the Eurasian business forum called “GREEN ENERGY & WASTE RECYCLING FORUM (GEWR) which took place on July 1-2 in Nur-Sultan.   

Leading companies in the industry, relevant ministries, and international experts of UNDP and GIZ project in the field of green economy, Operator ROP LLP and environmental associations took part in the largest event in Central Asia devoted to the waste management and renewable energy.

“Opening of the forum falls on the symbolic date: a new edition of Environmental Code has come into effect”, - said Akhmetzhan Primkulov, Vice-Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In fact, panel discussions were mainly focused on the work of the companies within the new Environmental Code. West Dalа representatives took an active part in all discussions, asking questions about articles of the Code which require clarification. Moreover, on the first day of the forum the topics concerning transition to a green economy and improvement of infrastructure in the solid waste sector were raised.

The second day of GEWR forum was remembered for vivid discussions and speeches of market participants. During the session called “Industrial waste without risk” Nurlybek Kenzhegaliev, Head of the production department in West Dala LLP, made a speech. His report was devoted to the problematic articles of Environmental Code. In particular, he went into detail with the Article 301 that deals with the management of construction waste, waste batteries, and glass recycling. Moreover, production worker from West Dala LLP touched upon the topic of the list of technical guidance documents (Article 67) and issues of the absence of legalized national standards for some waste management (Article 351).

The forum ended with the General Meeting of the members of KazWaste Kazakhstan Waste Management Association, where the preliminary results of the event were summed up. The agenda of the meeting with the participation of West Dala LLP representatives included discussion of issues of waste disposal organizations and enterprises for waste collection and processing of secondary resources. Much attention was paid to problematic issues of the enterprises for integrated waste management and industrial waste management. Moreover, the procedure for further work of association was also considered during the meeting.

On the eve of the New Year, West Dala congratulated 570 children in the Atyrau and Mangystau regions. Children from the Foundation for the Support of Children with Disabilities, the Berkan Brain Center, the Yuri Gagarin School, as well as children from the Almaly rural district, Tupkaragan, Makat, Makhambet, and Kyzylkogha districts, received New Year's gifts and a festive atmosphere.

However, no anniversary is complete without a proper celebration, so on December 5, at our business evening, we celebrated the company’s milestone together with colleagues, partners, and clients who have shared this journey with us. Around 100 guests gathered at the N. U. Balgimbayev Communication Development Center to reflect on how it all began and to honor our achievements.
