The West Dala team took part in the “Taza Zhagalau” environmental campaign organized by the Department of Ecology of the Atyrau Region, joining other organizations in cleaning the embankment area of the Atyrau residential district.
West Dala specialists, Ecologist Ainagul Sagiyeva and Chief Technologist Minara Massalimova, participated in the X Eurasian Business Forum “Green Energy & Waste Recycling” (GEWR’26), held in Astana on July 2–3, 2026. The forum is the largest platform in Central Asia dedicated to discussing the future of the waste management industry and the development of a green economy.
During GEWR’26, representatives of government agencies, businesses, international organizations, and industry experts discussed practical solutions for advancing the circular economy, attracting investment, implementing innovative technologies, and transforming waste management systems across Central Asia.
The forum’s agenda is especially relevant in light of the sustainable development goals set by the Head of State. Today, waste management is closely linked not only to environmental protection but also to public health, urban development, and sustainable economic growth.
During the Waste Management Awards (WMA) 2026 ceremony, West Dala once again confirmed its leadership by receiving the award “The Leader in Industrial Waste Management” category. This independent public award recognizes outstanding achievements and innovations in the waste management sector. Since 2018, it has been presented every two years on the initiative of the KazWaste Association as part of the GEWR Business Forum.
