West Dala LLP signed an agreement on participation in ЕсoQoldaý system. This project is a new digital model to support recycling industry in Kazakhstan from EPR Operator.

EcoQoldaý system is a platform for the collection, processing, transportation and disposal of packaging waste such as waste paper, plastic, glass and metal. ЕсoQoldaý has no analogues in the Central Asian region and contributes to the improvement of the situation in the field of waste processing in Kazakhstan. Today the average recycling rate reaches 18.6%, and in accordance with the Concept for the transition to a green economy, by 2030 the share of waste recycling should be increased to 40%, by 2050 - to 50%.

Under the scope of the EcoQoldaý project, all participants receive services for digitalization of the business process, long-term contracts, a ready market for recyclable materials, an auction system for the sale of recyclable materials, partial coverage of transportation costs, and financing of each kilogram of packaging waste.

Participation in the EcoQoldaý system demonstrates West Dala's commitment to green economy principles.

A lecture on “Waste Management and Spill Response” was held at Kh. Dosmukhamedov University. Environmental specialists from West Dala — Ainagul Sagiyeva and Islam Sagynbayev — conducted an engaging session with students, highlighting the key principles of environmentally responsible waste management. The focus was on modern approaches to safe disposal, reducing environmental impact, and the role of business in building a sustainable environment.

The “Innovative Ideas” competition was held in the Atyrau Region to support talented youth and develop their scientific research and inventive potential. Specialists from West Dala — environmental engineer Aigul Sagiyeva and chief technologist Minara Massalimova — were invited to serve as members of the jury.

Employees of West Dala joined the environmental campaign organized by the Department of Ecology of the Mangystau Region to clean the territory of Aktau city. They also supported the initiative of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management of the Atyrau Region by participating in the clean-up and improvement of Victory Park in Atyrau city.

From 20:30 to 21:30, the Earth Hour International Environmental Action took place to draw attention to the need for a responsible attitude to nature and the resources of the planet. This year, Earth Hour in Kazakhstan is dedicated to the theme of nature conservation in the country.

The warmth of this month helped strengthen social ties and energize them for new beginnings after the winter.
