The annual World Environment Day competition was launched in West Dala. We believe that the creativity of our employees, multiplied by their concern for the environment, can provide the invaluable ideas for reusing waste. Each company’s facility may submit two works which will be made from the waste materials, i.e. from the items that cannot be used.

The competition will be until of 31, May this year, and an award ceremony will be on the eve of Ecologist's Day. According to the decision of the jury, the best works will be placed on the West Dala facilities with the indication of authorship.

A lecture on “Waste Management and Spill Response” was held at Kh. Dosmukhamedov University. Environmental specialists from West Dala — Ainagul Sagiyeva and Islam Sagynbayev — conducted an engaging session with students, highlighting the key principles of environmentally responsible waste management. The focus was on modern approaches to safe disposal, reducing environmental impact, and the role of business in building a sustainable environment.

The “Innovative Ideas” competition was held in the Atyrau Region to support talented youth and develop their scientific research and inventive potential. Specialists from West Dala — environmental engineer Aigul Sagiyeva and chief technologist Minara Massalimova — were invited to serve as members of the jury.

Employees of West Dala joined the environmental campaign organized by the Department of Ecology of the Mangystau Region to clean the territory of Aktau city. They also supported the initiative of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management of the Atyrau Region by participating in the clean-up and improvement of Victory Park in Atyrau city.

From 20:30 to 21:30, the Earth Hour International Environmental Action took place to draw attention to the need for a responsible attitude to nature and the resources of the planet. This year, Earth Hour in Kazakhstan is dedicated to the theme of nature conservation in the country.

The warmth of this month helped strengthen social ties and energize them for new beginnings after the winter.
