CLEAN - UP

In June, West Dala employees, along with TCO Business Partners and TCO employees themselves, took a voluntary part in the cleaning of the territory along the Sarykamys highway and the territory of the former northern guard post (COVID-19).

After a short briefing on Safety, the volunteers started the collecting of waste, which is scattered by the wind. 400 people who took part in the clean-up were able to clear an area of almost 80 hectares in 2 hours, while collecting more than 3 tons of waste! As a thank for the work done, the participants were presented with small commemorative gifts from TCO.

The results of this event showed that TCO and Business Partners take care of nature, having a clear understanding of the importance of preserving the environment. Everyone has a common obligation – proper waste disposal, improvement of the environment and ecology on the territory of the Tengiz field.

West Dala colleagues participated in a webinar on financing opportunities for waste recycling and circular economy projects under the GEFF program from the EBRD.

West Dala took part in the environmental forum “ECO Partnership” organized by Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. The event was aimed at increasing environmental awareness and engagement of Business Partner management, strengthening environmental control at enterprises, and improving overall environmental performance indicators.

West Dala has become a new member of the Italian–Kazakh Trade Association (ACIK).
