National Company "KazMunayGas" is Kazakhstan's national operator for exploration, production, refining and transportation of hydrocarbons, representing the state in Kazakhstan's petroleum sector.
The Group of JSC “National Company “KazMunayGas”, founded in 2002, includes over 180 entities. The founding party of KMG is the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, represented by the State Property and Privatization Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan. KMG's shareholders are Samruk-Kazyna Sovereign Wealth Fund (90%) and the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan (10% + 1 share).
The National Company accounts for 25% of crude oil and gas condensate production, as well as 15% of natural and associated gas production domestically. Its trunklines are used to transport 56% of Kazakhstan's oil and 79% of gas.
KMG's portfolio of exploration projects includes 23 projects (joint and own), of which 14 are implemented onshore, 9 offshore. As a national company, KMG has a pre-emptive right of subsoil use in strategic subsoil blocks, and also receives a 50% share in the preparation of new contracts for the development of offshore deposits. KMG is one of the largest employers with a staff of more than 80 thousand people.
Information on the partnership of KMG and West Dala LLP
West Dala collaborates with KMG on an ongoing basis, implementing waste management projects with its subsidiaries in Atyrau and Mangistau regions. Work is underway on the removal and disposal of industrial waste, contaminated soil, oil-contaminated waste, the removal of wastewater from the facility, etc.
The company fulfills all tender requirements of the parent company Samruk-Kazyna JSC, according to which contracts with contractors can be concluded for 1 year. And only Mangistamunaigas JSC and Kaztransoil JSC announced a tender valid for 3 years. To confirm the status of a reliable domestic manufacturer, West Dala underwent a FFP and received an industrial certificate.
Currently, West Dalais a contractor for such companies as Mangistaumunaigas JSC, Ozenmunaygas JSC, Ozenmunayservice LLP, KazGPZ LLP, KazTransOil JSC, ANPZ LLP. Among the major projects are the elimination of historic oily waste from Mangistaumunaigas JSC and the cleaning of the oil storage tanks of Embamunaigas JSC.
In 2019 KMG announced the need for a change in the company's culture of thinking and for the involvement of all employees in labor protection, industrial safety and environmental protection issues. Achieving Goal Zero targets should be a primary goal for KMG partners and contractors. And therefore, West Dala is actively participating in KMG's program to ensure effective work in the field of waste management.
