The North Caspian Project is the first major offshore oil and gas development in Kazakhstan. It covers three fields: Kashagan, Kairan and Aktoty.

The giant Kashagan field ranks as one of the largest oil discoveries of the past decades, with approximately 9-13 billion barrels (1-2 billion tonnes) of recoverable oil. The Kashagan reservoir lies 80km offshore from the city of Atyrau in 3-4 meters of water, and is more than 4km deep (4,200 meters).The production facilities comprise offshore and onshore complexes.

In 2016, the first offshore oil in the history of Kazakhstan was commercially produced from Kashagan.

 

Information on Partnership between NCOC N.V. and West Dala LLP

West Dala has been cooperating with the Kashagan Project Operator since 2007, servicing both on-shore facilities at Eskene West (EW) and the maritime operations support base in Bautino.  NCOC N.V. waste management services include the collection and disposal of sulfur waste on the territory of the Sulfur site on the EW.  Since 2019, West Dala has been carrying out waste management work as part of major repairs at EW and Bautino, and since 2021 it has been providing annual cleaning services of the lagoons at the Process Liquid Waste Disposal Area.

The Company provides lease and maintenance of stationary, mobile, all-season toilet modules, including for contractors NCOC N.V. If necessary, West Dala LLP provides its services for short-term projects of NCOC N.V., where hazardous wastes have certain complex properties.

West Dala provides service not only for NCOC N.V., but also for its contractors, using modern specialized vehicles and equipment.  In addition to services under the main waste management contract of NCOC N.V., West Dala, involving a subcontractor, carries out waste sorting, cleaning and landscaping of the territory of the EW.
