KazMunayGas (KMG) NC JSC was founded in 2002 and represents the interests of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the oil and gas industry. KMG manages assets across the entire production cycle — from hydrocarbon exploration and production to transportation, refining, and service provision.
The Company represents the interests of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the energy sector and provides a significant portion of the production, transportation and processing of hydrocarbons in the country.

West Dala LLP expresses its sincere gratitude to KazMunayGas NC JSC and its subsidiaries and affiliates for their long-standing trust and sustainable partnership, which has continued since the 2010s. The Company is honored to contribute to environmental safety and sustainable development in the oil and gas industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the KMG Group.
As part of this partnership, West Dala LLP provides comprehensive services for the treatment and disposal of oil-containing and hazardous waste, the removal of historical contamination, the decontamination of equipment from radioactive contamination, tank cleaning, and the removal and disposal of industrial waste. Particularly important to the Company are its participation in microbiological processing projects with the possibility of reusing treated soil, the implementation of mobile process systems, and the implementation of offshore environmental solutions.
Key partners and areas:
- Mangistaumunaigas JSC (MMG) is one of the Company's key and largest partners. Since 2022, it has successfully provided oilfield equipment decontamination services, cleaning up radioactive contamination, and then transferring the scale to specialized landfills. In 2023, a major project was completed to process 87,818 tons of oil-contaminated waste. Additionally, work is underway to remove, transport, and dispose of industrial waste at the company's facilities.
- Ozenmunaigas JSC - annual contracts for the removal and disposal of hazardous and industrial waste.
- Embamunaigas JSC - successfully provides a wide range of services at the company's facilities and its structural divisions, including the Zhaiykmunaigas Oil and Gas Production Department, the Zhylyoymunaigas Oil and Gas Production Department, and the Dossormunaigas Oil and Gas Production Department, among others. Its key areas of work include the disposal of oil-containing waste, the removal and disposal of sulfur-containing waste, the disposal of oil-contaminated soil, the disposal of scrap metal with elevated radiation levels, the collection and treatment of wastewater, and the comprehensive collection, transportation, and disposal of industrial waste.
- KazTransOil JSC — annual contracts for waste management services, removal and treatment of industrial and oil-containing waste.
- Atyrau Oil Refinery LLP – since 2016, the Company has provided services for the regular removal, transportation, acceptance, treatment and disposal of industrial, hazardous, and municipal solid waste generated during the refinery's operations. On a long-term basis, it also provides services for the removal and disposal of spent catalysts and catalyst dust sludge, totaling up to 10,000 tons per year.
- KazMunaiGas-Drilling Service Drilling Company LLP, has been providing comprehensive services for the disposal, treatment, removal, and placement of drilling and industrial waste in the Atyrau region since 2011, including drill cuttings, spent drilling fluids (SDF), oil-containing materials, and mercury-containing waste.
- Issatay Operating Company - in 2024, the Company successfully provided services for the disposal, treatment, removal, and placement of industrial and drilling waste as part of exploration work at the Abay field in the Kazakhstan sector of the Caspian Sea.
- The private company Karaton Operating Ltd. — in 2026, began testing the SG-8 well at the Karaton site, which has a subsalt depth of 5,750 meters. A contract was signed between the companies in February 2026 for the collection, removal, sorting, treatmnet, disposal, and decontamination of drilling waste, including drill cuttings, spent drilling fluid, drilling wastewater, and produced (associated) water.
Development of infrastructure and technology within the framework of partnership with the KMG Group:

2018–2020 – at Uzen WMF, process flow pits and sites for microbiological treatment of oil-contaminated soil, oil and drilling sludge were expanded.

2023 – a mobile washing and sorting complex for oil-contaminated soil was commissioned, increasing the efficiency of operations at KMG facilities.

2025 – construction and installation work has begun on the first process line of the new Uzen Integrated Radioactive Waste Management Facility (IRWMF), and in 2026, the Company will begin designing the second line. Uzen Integrated Radioactive Waste Management Facility will be divided into two process lines: 1) for solid radioactive waste management; 2) for the treatment and decontamination of contaminated low-level radioactive waste, oil sludge, and soil. To implement its operations, the Company has already identified technologies and equipment for treatment both solid and liquid waste from the oil and gas industry.
