NAURYZ 2016

Bright and memorable was the celebration of the “Nauryz” in the “West Dala” LLP this year. Celebrations were held on 21st and 22nd of March. The first day of the celebration was dedicated to the staff of the company, and the second day at the invitation of the NCOC N. V. company, the company took part in the celebration of “Nauryz Meiramy” for employees of NCOC N. V. company and its contractors.

On March 21st, during the celebration of “Nauryz”, the employees of our company showed all their artistry, all their courage, and the unity and solidarity of a friendly team. A celebration was held on the site adjacent to the company office where a spacious Yurt (traditional house) was mounted. In the Yurt traditional meals were served, which were cooked by company employees. The employees were dressed in beautiful, colorful national Kazakh garment. During the celebration the team on its own initiative decided to show some of the national Kazakh traditions, such as “Betashar” and “Besik toy”. Some sporting competitions were also held – in arm wrestling among male and female staff of the company and kettlebell lifting for men.

On March 22nd our company’s Yurt was presented at a special designated area of the “Samal” camp among such NCOC N.V. contractors as ISKER Group, Alma East West, YKK and other companies. Our employees cheerfully greeted all the guests with festive Kazakh songs, dances, festive dastarkhan, the national drink of “Nauryz kozhe” and baursaks. The senior management of NCOC N. V. company congratulated all the organizers and visitors of the gala event, and all the people of Kazakhstan on Nauryz holiday. On the festival stage and the surrounding territory, a festive concert and demonstration of national traditions and customs was organized. At the end of the event the senior management of NCOC N. V. handed out memorable gifts to the representatives of contractor companies who have taken an active role in the celebration of Nauryz.

A lecture on “Waste Management and Spill Response” was held at Kh. Dosmukhamedov University. Environmental specialists from West Dala — Ainagul Sagiyeva and Islam Sagynbayev — conducted an engaging session with students, highlighting the key principles of environmentally responsible waste management. The focus was on modern approaches to safe disposal, reducing environmental impact, and the role of business in building a sustainable environment.

The “Innovative Ideas” competition was held in the Atyrau Region to support talented youth and develop their scientific research and inventive potential. Specialists from West Dala — environmental engineer Aigul Sagiyeva and chief technologist Minara Massalimova — were invited to serve as members of the jury.

Employees of West Dala joined the environmental campaign organized by the Department of Ecology of the Mangystau Region to clean the territory of Aktau city. They also supported the initiative of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management of the Atyrau Region by participating in the clean-up and improvement of Victory Park in Atyrau city.

From 20:30 to 21:30, the Earth Hour International Environmental Action took place to draw attention to the need for a responsible attitude to nature and the resources of the planet. This year, Earth Hour in Kazakhstan is dedicated to the theme of nature conservation in the country.
